Our first “Coffee Break”

Thanks to the hospitality of AWAP member Jacquie Asseo, more than two dozen ladies enjoyed a welcome respite from their busy schedules.  AWAP’s first ever coffee break last Thursday, 22 September 2011, was held at Jacquie’s beautiful New York-style-loft overlooking a garden courtyard — a rarity in today’s Parisian capital.

Guests who signed up were asked to bring a little plate of goodies to complement the coffee (or tea) which Jacquie provided.  And, as is the case in any Asian gathering, the group was spoiled with mouth-watering cakes, biscuits, cookies, pies, and chocolates galore!  The ladies enjoyed an Indian Summer afternoon, sipping tea and espresso, and catching up with one another after the summer hiatus.

What a way to kick off “la rentrée!”  Many thanks, dear Jacquie!

NOTE:  Every month, we try to reserve a date for a small get-together to have the ladies meet up for “Coffee Break.”  If you are interested in hosting one, please do not hesitate to contact Shella or Cindy, our Events experts.  Shella:  shellamandic@yahoo.ca / Cindy:  cmprobst@gmail.com.
