恭喜发财!羊年快乐!

It is said that 2015 is the “Wood Goat Year”, and a wonderful time to focus on creating and redecorating your home. Those born in the year of the Goat are kind, sweet and generous. They are also said to be the artists of the Chinese Zodiac.

We were excited to have our Chinese New Year dinner hosted once again by the Opera Mandarin this year. Excellent service, friendly staff, yummy traditional Chinese food and wonderful company – no better way to usher in the Year of the Goat. Lobster dumplings, Peking duck, Salt & Pepper Fried Tiger Prawns, Stir Fried Beef with Ginger and Scallions, and Chinese-style steamed Fresh Seabass are some of the scrumptious dishes served that evening. Thank you for coming to our pre-winter break get together. We hope you enjoyed the dinner as much as we did!

Delayed update: Lunch at Mirama

Oh my! It seems we have been so swept away by the festivities (and then “la reprise”) that we have neglected to update our site! Sorry about that.

For our last AWAP lunch of 2014, we warmed our tummies with delicious wonton soup and noodles at Mirama in Paris 5eme. Undisputedly the best wontons in town – at least we think so. It was great seeing everyone, and sharing our holiday plans.

We were sad to learn that TT, one of our new members will be relocating to Boston. We will miss you.

Tasting Thai

Last 25th of October, the lunching AWAP ladies got together to have a Taste of Thai food! A wonderful group of thirteen ladies who had no trouble partaking of the delicious food, avec chili-on-the-side bien sûr!  Thank you to AWAP member, Mananya Hagiwara, who helped the Events Committee in organizing this luncheon which went perfectly well from beginning to end.  Thank you, Mananya!

Some brag pictures to wit:

The Inevitable… Phad Thai
